Cohort 3 Graduation & BRO Ending Event
Posted 3rd July 2025
On Monday 30th June we held our Cohort 3 Graduation and our Ending party for Oldham and Rochdale young people. As some may know our Rochdale and Oldham project is ending at the end of July, young people and staff are sad to see the end of the project as it has been quite a journey from starting as just a name, to building positive and trusting relationships and supporting many young people to live safely and independently. The project will now transform to the Bury, Manchester, Trafford House Project from August.
We had many people at attendance at the Graduation including the Mayor and Mayoress of Rochdale and the Mayor of Bury, who kindly presented young people from Cohort 3 with their AQA certificates. We had some wonderful speeches by our CLNM rep Adam, our young person Tia spoke about the community she has built within House Project, Angel spoke about her aspirational award and Katie delivered an emotional speech about her journey at House Project, thanking staff for all the support we have offered the young people with a box of choccies each!
Young people spent time networking with peers, professionals and people who had come to support them which was lovely to see. We had lots of food offerings to everyone who attended and had a BBQ on the go – well it was 30 degrees outside! The Karaoke machine and wigs came out, the selfie stand was put to good use, and the egg and spoon race was going on outside! The cake was shared and young people received beauty gifts to thank them for engaging and working with us, it has been a pleasure -we had all their work displayed on the walls for others to see what they have been up to in sessions! It was a great night, with lots of fun, memories and laughter shared, we have been so lucky to get to know all our wonderful young people and celebrate them at this event.
Thank you to all the young people, professionals, local authorities and organisations that have worked with us to offer ongoing, brilliant support for our young people over the last 3 years, we are really sad to see the end of BRO House Project and hope to be back in the future. Thank you Amelia, Roxanne, Jodie and Kerry
