Young people who join the Bury, Rochdale and Oldham House Project are offered -
- A facilitator who will be assigned to work with each young person, building positive and supportive relationships throughout and after their cohort
- An extra layer of support for young person transitioning into Independence
- Weekly Group sessions over a 6 month period completing a portfolio which will support you to gain AQA's alongside building on your Independence Skills
- HP offer intense work on developing further independence skills that a young person may need support with - Budgeting, Cooking, Understanding Utilities, Understanding Tenancy agreement
- Sessions delivered by other relevant professionals in different topics
- 1-2-1 weekly support when living in your own tenancy enabling you to live safely and comfortably
- Opportunities to live independently in your own tenancy before 18 with the hope of it to be in your desired area
- Support with moving into your own property - help with materials, painting, decorating, setting up Bills
- Support with applying for Universal Credit at 18
- An overnight Trip away
- Support with Data Inclusion
- A chance to meet other young people across Greater Manchester leaving care and building a peer community
- Fun Events and opportunities to be involved with throughout the year
- Free white good from the National House Project when gaining your own tenancy
- Opportunity to become a Care Leavers National Movement Rep for your local area -Acting as a voice for other care experienced young people
- Working with young people to listen, encourage and share the young person's voice and wishes
- Support in Training, Work experience and Employment
- Sign-posting to other Professional Services
- Multi-agency working with professionals
